Waterproofing geomembranes
ALVATECH geomembranes are polyethylene sheets (HDPE and LLDPE) that are used as waterproofing barriers in mining, environmental, hydraulic and civil works projects.
Among their many features are the high mechanical performance, durability, chemical resistance and excellent welding capability. They are manufactured using the latest Calendering System technology, offering a width of 7.5 m and a range of gauges from 0.75 mm up to 3 mm. The geomembranes are available in two surface finishes, smooth and textured; the latter with multiple spikes measuring > 0.9 mm, which makes the sheet highly stable when waterproofing steep slopes (high coefficient and angle of friction).

ALVATECH 5002
Smooth high-density polyethylene (HDPE) waterproofing sheet. The product’s specific formulation provides it with excellent weldability, enhancing its mechanical properties and chemical resistance. It is manufactured by a flat-die extrusion process (calendering system), using the latest technology that ensures excellent thickness control and uniform surface finish (with a slight texture that makes it easier to install the product on site).
Its 7.50 m width optimizes installation costs and quality control on site, considerably reducing the number of welding seams required, compared to a narrower sheet.

ALVATECH FIX
High density polyethylene (HDPE) or linear low density polyethylene waterproofing sheet. Its surface is textured on one or both sides, with multiple spikes (57,000 spikes/m2) over 0.9 mm-tall, making the sheet highly stable when waterproofing steep slopes (high coefficient and angle of friction).
We are the only company that offers a textured geomembrane, 7.5 m-wide, which optimizes installation costs by reducing the number of welding seams required. Recommended for slopes of approximately 20% – 12° or more.

ALVATECH LLDPE
Waterproofing sheet formulated with linear low-density polyethylene that provides the product with optimal flexibility and weldability. It is used to seal landfills, floating covers and, in general, structures that require a waterproofing barrier that is more elastic than high density polyethylene.
It is also available in a textured version: Alvatech® LLDPE FIX, textured on one or both sides, 7.50 m-wide. It offers a high coefficient of friction on steep slopes.

ALVATECH VLDPE
A waterproofing sheet formulated with very low-density polyethylene, which provides the product with excellent flexibility and weldability. This membrane is even more flexible than the LLDPE geomembrane.
It is used in structures with highly irregular surfaces, improving adherence to them. Some examples are bladder tanks, underground structures, floating covers, green roofs, perimeter edges in reservoirs, etc.

ALVATECH HTR
A high-density polyethylene membrane designed for applications where the waterproofing barrier has to withstand high temperatures (over 60°Celsius). It is mainly used in food industry processes, hot springs, wastewater treatment, etc.
The Alvatech® HTR geomembrane is available with a smooth or textured surface, with spikes on both sides for waterproofing on steep slopes, and sheet widths of 5.8 m and 7.5 m.

ALVATECH HP-OIT
A high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) waterproofing sheet with extra antioxidant additives that extend its service life.
This extra stabilization allows the geomembrane to be used in projects that include more abrasive chemicals or more extreme service conditions. In this environment the added antioxidants are more resistant and are retained inside the polymer matrix. Consequently, the mechanical properties of the Alvatech® HP-OIT geomembrane remain intact over time.

ALVATECH WHITE LAYER
A bicolor polyethylene (HDPE or LLDPE) waterproofing membrane, with a white upper surface and black underside.
The white surface minimizes the temperature increase that a black membrane sustains, the difference being between 20 and 23°C. As a result, it is possible to work for longer periods and the number of wrinkles/waves in the lining is reduced.

ALVATECH RADON BARRIER
A waterproofing membrane made of EVOH polyethylene copolymer, which is specifically designed to act as a radon gas barrier, preventing the emissions of this hazardous gas from entering buildings.

ALVATECH TERMOFILM
This bioleaching membrane, also called Thermofilm, is a polyethylene sheet used in the bioleaching of sulphide metals in low-grade mining.
